Does this go in here?

Anyways, I watched it last night and found it a rather fun splatter samurai film, sampled heavily by RZA on his Liquid Swords album. Glad I've finally seen it!

Yep. Man, I love Shogun Assassin. I guess I first saw it in about 1987 or 1988, and I thought it was genius. Of course, only later did I find out that it was culled together from several episodes of the "Baby Cart" or "Lone Wolf & Cub" series. Since then, I've collected all the Baby Cart stuff (including the Manga), and I love it even more.

I'd like to add, for the record, that whoever that kid was who did the narration in Shogun Assassin deserves some sort of medal or award or something. That's gotta be some of the best v.o. work in cinema history.
Very Happy

On a related note, I love how Beatrix and B.B. watch Shogun Assassin together near the end of Kill Bill vol. 2. Very sweet and very, very appropriate.
