|
|
OK, everybody...I expect all of you to take part in this one:
I'm going to write a brand-new "Top Ten" article (something like my two-part "Toxic Cinema" article from a few months ago).
Problem is, I can't decide what to write about. So, I'm leaving it up to you, my faithful and intelligent readers/forum members!
Here's how it will work:
First, attached to this post, there's a place where you can choose from several topics. Simply vote for your favorite topic. The topic with the most votes after about one week will be the topic I'll write about.
So, this is truly "interactive web content". Ask, and ye shall receive!
Go to it! Like I said, I expect everyone to participate in this one.
Oh, and when you vote, if you'd like to "nominate" any particular film or films that you think I should cover in the article topic you've selected, go ahead and list those in your reply.

To be honest I'm not bothered about remakes, but there are three tpics there I definately want to see and I would like to see them in this order:
1) Gialli/Slasher
2) Asian
3) Zombie/Cannibal
If you have enough time on your hands then I really would like to see all three there!
Thanks |

| I chose 'best horror film remakes' due to the fact that horror films for some reason or another are cyclic going back to the old Universal days and I think it would be more of a challenge to find horror film remakes that eclipse their source films (which was also sort of mentioned in the recent Thing remake thread). |

Wow...way to make things super-difficult, guys.
So I guess we're looking at a sort-of tie, right?
Sort of...
I'll wait another day or so and see if there's a tie-breaker. _________________

| For some reason I can't vote. I'd have to go w/ Asian. I've been watching almost nothing except Gialli/Cannibal/Zombie/Bava/Argento/Fulci/Lenzi/Deodato/ect for the past few months so I am pretty much numb to that type of stuff right now. Don't really care about remakes and almost all scream queen lists look the same. I haven't really delved into Asian horror except for some Miike and a few other J-Horror & Korean films. Since I am pretty close to tapping the Euro well dry i'd like to branch out a little and the Asian market seems like the next logical place. |

OK...it looks like we have a winner...
"Top Ten Asian Horror Films" it is!
I'm not sure what angle I'm going to approach this article from, but trust me...it'll be worth the read.
Thanks for participating, guys.
I'll start writing the article this weekend. I'll very likely break it into two parts (much like I did with my "Toxic Movies" article).
Cheers, everyone!
Now that we've pinned down a subject, I welcome any suggestions you have as to films you'd like to see covered. Not that that is a promise that your recommended film will be in there, mind you...
